How to replace missing teeth: implant, bridge or denture?

Medically reviewed by Dr. Rekha Pandey, BDS

Short answer

Missing teeth can be replaced with a dental implant, a bridge or a denture. Implants are fixed and don't affect the neighbouring teeth, but cost more and take months. Bridges are fixed and quicker, but rely on the neighbouring teeth. Dentures are removable and the most affordable. The right choice depends on how many teeth are missing, your gum and bone health, and your budget.
