Dentures (false teeth) in Butwal

Medically reviewed by Dr. Rekha Pandey, BDS

Short answer

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. A complete denture replaces all the teeth in a jaw; a partial denture fills gaps and clips to the remaining teeth. Making a denture usually takes several visits for moulds and fitting. Most people need a few weeks to get used to eating and speaking with them.

Caring for dentures

  • Remove them at night
  • Clean daily with a soft brush (not regular toothpaste)
  • Keep them in water when out of the mouth
  • Come back if they become loose or sore

Frequently asked questions

Can dentures be fixed in place?

Implant-supported dentures can clip onto implants for more stability. Ask at your consultation.
